DSAG Annual Congress 2023: SAP users meet in Bremen

This year’s DSAG Annual Congress will be held in Bremen from September 19 to 21. The three-day event takes place under the motto “Wonderfully changeable – creating new perspectives together”. Around 5,000 participants are expected to come together to find ways and strategies to master digital, technological, ecological and economic change and to shape change successfully.

Transformation as a prerequisite for lasting success

Even if the saying “Nothing is as constant as change” is somewhat hackneyed, it nevertheless aptly describes the framework conditions under which companies must operate in the current era. Because business conditions are constantly changing, companies must also continuously evolve in order to remain competitive and successful. IT plays a critical role in the flexibility and mutability of businesses.

“At the 2022 Annual Congress, we had addressed how companies need to keep pace with change in their quest for success,” explains DSAG Board Chairman Jens Hungershausen. “This year, we’re bridging the gap and asking how companies, DSAG, SAP and the entire ecosystem can actively shape change together.” The move to SAP S/4HANA plays a central role in this. However, it is not enough to introduce new technologies and systems. Rather, companies should approach their transformation holistically and, for example, also put their processes to the test and adapt them if necessary.

IBsolution introduces Business Analytics Platform

In addition, data-driven decisions are also essential for the future success of companies. The basis for this is a modern IT infrastructure and powerful data management. At the DSAG Annual Congress 2023, Andreas Laux and Andreas Förger from IBsolution will present a suitable architecture for data-driven action in their talk “Building a Business Analytics Platform” (VP021).

With the Business Analytics Platform, companies are able to prepare and use the vast amounts of data generated by the various applications in the organization. The data platform with centralized access provides users with a holistic view of all corporate data – SAP and non-SAP data from on-premise and cloud systems. The advantage: companies can exploit the real added value of their data and avoid data silos.

Successful customer projects

Two IBsolution customers will also report on their successfully completed projects at the DSAG Annual Congress 2023. For example, the consumer goods group Beiersdorf opted for a two-step approach to the SAP S/4HANA transformation: The master data go-live was brought forward and SAP Business Partner was introduced in advance to reduce the complexity of the overall project. In the process, it was possible to roll out the go-live as a global “big bang” with standardized, uniform processes.

Thanks to the introduction of SAP Sales Cloud, Hübner GmbH, a system provider for mobility and industry solutions, is now able to effectively manage opportunities even in a multi-stage sales process and provide those involved with detailed insights into the individual opportunities. This results in significantly greater transparency in the quotation process.

Keynotes, presentations and partner exhibition

The DSAG Annual Congress is considered the most important meeting place for SAP user companies in German-speaking countries and acts as a platform for orientation, exchange of experience and networking. In addition to keynotes from DSAG and SAP, the agenda also includes themed sessions, partner presentations, and expert and influencing sessions. In the partner exhibition with around 120 companies, visitors can inform themselves about current trends in the SAP environment and exchange ideas. IBsolution will present its comprehensive services for the holistic business transformation of companies at booth P07.
