On May 3 and 4, 2022, the DSAG Technology Days will take place in Düsseldorf. As part of the extensive lecture program, IBsolution customers will report on the project successes they have realized together with the Heilbronn-based SAP consulting company: Piller Blowers & Compressors and the University Hospital of Düsseldorf.
Not least the Corona pandemic has fundamentally changed the framework conditions for companies and their IT in the recent past. Many companies have yet to find their way in this new normal. The challenge is to master the digital transformation and take the path to the cloud. Under the motto “New normal – IT is. Recognizing opportunities, unleashing potential”, the DSAG Technology Days will address the question of what impact the changed reality has on companies’ SAP systems. Around 1,600 participants are expected in Düsseldorf.
Keynotes, round table and presentations
The agenda includes keynote sessions with DSAG board members and SAP representatives, a round table on the state of the SAP security portfolio in hyperscalers, various expert sessions and SAP hands-on workshops. With Piller Blowers & Compressors and the University Hospital of Düsseldorf, two companies will present projects that they have successfully implemented together with IBsolution as part of the conference program.
Piller: Switching to SAP Data Warehouse Cloud using SAP BW Bridge
Piller Blowers & Compressors, a manufacturer of high-performance blowers and compressors for the process industry, is pursuing a consistent cloud strategy, in the course of which the company is also simplifying its data warehouse landscape with the help of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud. SAP S/4HANA and other SAP solutions are to be connected via SAP BW Bridge in the target architecture.
In their joint presentation, Thomas Henzler, Chief Information Officer at Piller Blowers & Compressors, and Loren Heilig, Managing Director of IBsolution, will report on their experiences and insights from the early adopter program for SAP BW Bridge and go into details about the technical implementation. They also highlight the added value of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud that benefits the business department at Piller.
University Hospital of Düsseldorf: User-friendly interfaces for SAP IdM
For various processes in identity lifecycle management, the University Hospital of Düsseldorf (UKD) uses SAP Identity Management (IdM). To ensure a broader use of the corresponding tools and processes outside of IT, the UKD created user-friendly SAP Fiori interfaces for SAP IdM with IBsolution’s SECMENDO.ui_generator. On this basis, users can access more and more self-services for basic activities such as resetting passwords and for more complex workflows, for example for maintaining employee groups
